Kit began singing and playing at age five, wrote his first song at age eight, and played his first paid wedding ceremony at age 17. With the founding of his band Intervision in 2003, Kit finally decided to purse music full time. The band went on to release three critically acclaimed records, and tour with Lifehouse and The Neville Brothers. After the band went their separate ways, temporarily, in 2012, Kit began focusing on wedding ceremonies, private/corporate events and funerals/memorials. He soon realized that many couples wanted a pianist but didn’t want to pay for a musician AND a DJ. That’s when Kit bought a top-tier sound system, learned how to read a crowd, and put his history of music to work. Now ten years and hundreds of weddings later, he has established himself as the best in the business.
What sets Kit Taylor Piano + DJ apart from his competitors is Kit’s unmatched musicality and history in the industry. Kit’s recent single “Missin’ You More” features Sony/ATV artist and colleague Jarrod Lawson. Kit has also worked with Jimmie Herrod (NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”), Jennifer Batten (guitar, Michael Jackson), Craig Carothers (songwriter, Trisha Yearwood) and countless others. Along with his degree from Berklee College Of Music in Boston, Kit could easily be described as the most gifted musician in the whole of the NW.
